Sr. Manager, Program Management
The R&D Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams in the development of ophthalmologic innovative drugs. Responsibilities include development team leadership, project planning, communication, risk management, while ensuring compliance with quality standards. Excellent soft skills and proactivity are a must to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Location: Switzerland or US
Key Responsibilities
1. Project management:
- Support and facilitate communication and project execution of cross-functional development teams.
- Develop & maintain project plans, timelines, risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Support development teams in decision-making process and in building presentations to senior management.
- Support the development team to anticipate potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
2. Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure project execution in compliance with SOPs and quality governance.
3. Communication and Soft Skills:
- Prepare and facilitate productive meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items.
- Foster effective communication across teams, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
4. Proactive Problem-Solving:
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively address challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned.
5. Budget and reporting:
- Monitor project timelines and costs in partnership with the financial team.
- Maintain project dashboards and ensure timely project reporting to senior management.
Necessary Skill Set
- Strong organizational, documentation and project management skills with attention to the right detail.
- Proactivity and constructive attitude.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Very good knowledge of drug development processes, from discovery to clinical trials.
- Experience in early-stage drug development is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Business).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and very good knowledge of quality principles.
